Toffee sauce:

For toffee sauce mix all ingredients together in a small casserole on medium heat and whisk until combined. let it boil for 2 mins then set aside to cool.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. coat two 9 inch round cake pans with butter & flour.
Sift the flour,cocoa,sugar,baking,baking soda,& salt into a large bowl. Add the butter and beat in an electric mixer until the butter is completely incorporated into the dry ingredients. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt,eggs,&vanilla. Pour the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients with an electric mixer, blend at high speed for 2 mins. Pour the batter into the prepared pans equally.Bake for 30 t0 35 mins.Remove from oven & let it cool on a rack for 10 mins.
Frosting:
Combine the butter & cocoa mix until smooth.Add the yogurt& beat until smooth slowly add in the sugar until the frosting is light & fluffy.Add in the salt and vanilla.
Place one of the cake layers on a cake plate spread about 1/2 cup of frosting onto the layer. Place the second layer on top. Spread the remaining frosting over the top of the cake.
